He has Board certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology since 2007 and Hematology since 2008. Prior to his Nebraska experience, he served as Clinical Laboratory Director of Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii in Kailua, where he was also a staff Surgical Pathologist and Hematopathologist. Dr. Cruz received his MD at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in 2001, where he became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He performed his Residency in AP/CP at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. His past experience in Oregon prompted his acceptance of a position with APMG at Portland Adventist Medical Center. He plans a smooth transition and will start at the facility in late March, 2011. We welcome Dr. Cruz and his wife, Diana, to the APMG family. They bring with them a beautiful cat, Lilly, and very active new puppy, Eppley.
I’m proud to be a part of such an extensive and diverse group as APMG. With a deep commitment to both general excellence and quality care as core values for the group, APMG has been a great career choice.
