APMG has a reputation for being fair and honest. It is composed of diverse, professional, smart, open-minded, kind and sharing individuals. Everyone, from the just-hired to the most senior, works hard and does their share. Everyone is respected and encouraged to participate in leadership and planning, to be active in their professional societies, local medical staff activities, their hospital’s administration,non-profit foundations, and in their own local community. It is not enough to just be a good pathologist and hide away in the basement— pathologists have to be more actively involved. This is APMG’s unwritten mission. I feel blessed to have a job with APMG.
