Dr. Ake is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology. He graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He served his AP/CP residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident his final year. He then completed a Hematopathology fellowship at University of California, Davis, where he helped implement 10-color flow cytometry. Prior to joining APMG in 2019, Dr. Ake worked in a multi-hospital-based group in Las Vegas, NV, where he was co-director of the flow cytometry lab and served in the CAP House of Delegates.
